Colonial Properties Trust needed to reposition their mall in order to compete with nearby regional malls. The key design move was to cut away a portion of the exterior exposing storefronts and developing a two-side streetscape experience. The road was reconfigured to bend into the carved facade making space for restaurant pads on the opposite side of the drive.
